SUMMARY:  Primary responsibility is to complete all assigned production in various departments within the warehouse.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Become thoroughly familiar with the materials and supplies that are required in daily production requirements.
  • Become thoroughly familiar with the safe and efficient use of tools that are required in daily production processes.
  • Become thoroughly familiar with and perform assigned job tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Gain knowledge of and comply with established quality standards that have been established for the job tasks that are assigned.
  • Notify the immediate Supervisor of any damaged or substandard materials, supplies, tools or related items that are encountered immediately upon discovery.
  • Follow all established safety regulations. Conform fully with the wearing of prescribed safety apparatus such as gloves and safety glasses.
  • Assist in physical inventory taking as instructed by the immediate supervisor. If one is involved in hands on counting activities, he/she must be accurate and complete in all endeavors.
  • Assist in completion of production schedule and paperwork as required and turn it in to the immediate supervisor in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Perform work station and other area cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Become thoroughly familiar with any hazardous materials or tools that may be handled, and the safety precautions that must be followed when in contact with the materials.
  • Handle all required labeling and product identification tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Is knowledgeable of and complies fully with all company and OSHA safety compliance standards. Compliance standards include pertinent policies, procedures, rules, regulations, instructions and any required records or forms.
  • Develops an in-depth knowledge of inventory and supply items that are required in daily production processes, where they are physically stored, conducts informal physical counts when pulling material for production and informs the immediate supervisor when on hand levels are at critical levels.
  • Attend all safety and production meetings as directed.
  • Participate in training and cross training programs as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Reliable transportation to work.
  • No prior experience or training necessary.
