Field Service Manager

SUMMARY: The Field Service Manager is directly responsible for managing a team of Field Service Technicians that perform maintenance and repair work on garage doors. This includes the dispatching/scheduling of service, handling all customer-facing communication requests, service estimates, billing, and data entry. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manage requests from customers and home-builders to schedule service.
- Create and manage service tickets via digital dispatching software.
- Schedule, route, and distribute service requests to technicians daily.
- Communicate with customers regarding service windows and schedules.
- Ensure customers are satisfied with work rendered.
- Review and submit technician's time-sheets to payroll.
- Contribute to maintaining inventory records for service parts and components.
- Assist Customer Service Team as needed or directed by management.
- Weekend availability to answer service phone and take requests.
- Reliable transportation to work.
- No prior experience or training required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic skills required: communication, problem solving, teamwork, time management, decision-making, organization, customer service, and learning skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience with digital dispatching software such as Service Titan, Dynamics 365, Jobber, etc.
- Prior experience (1-2 yr) managing teams of 2-5 members.
- Prior knowledge of Field Service Operations, such as for home repairs, HVAC, plumbing, or electronics.

- Become thoroughly familiar with the safe and efficient use of tools that are required in daily production processes.
- Become thoroughly familiar with and perform assigned job tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
- Gain knowledge of and comply with established quality standards that have been established for the job tasks that are assigned.
- Notify the immediate Supervisor of any damaged or substandard materials, supplies, tools or related items that are encountered immediately upon discovery.
- Follow all established safety regulations. Conform fully with the wearing of prescribed safety apparatus such as gloves and safety glasses.
- Assist in physical inventory taking as instructed by the immediate supervisor. If one is involved in hands on counting activities, he/she must be accurate and complete in all endeavors.
- Assist in completion of production schedule and paperwork as required and turn it in to the immediate supervisor in an accurate and timely manner.

- Become thoroughly familiar with any hazardous materials or tools that may be handled, and the safety precautions that must be followed when in contact with the materials.

- Is knowledgeable of and complies fully with all company and OSHA safety compliance standards. Compliance standards include pertinent policies, procedures, rules, regulations, instructions and any required records or forms.
- Develops an in-depth knowledge of inventory and supply items that are required in daily production processes, where they are physically stored, conducts informal physical counts when pulling material for production and informs the immediate supervisor when on hand levels are at critical levels.
- Attend all safety and production meetings as directed.
- Participate in training and cross training programs as directed.
- Reliable transportation to work.
